Each year one of the critical events in Ray White’s calendar is the Alan White Elite Performers Conference. This premier event is a celebration to recognise the top two percent of performers within the Ray White Network. These top performers have earned the prestigious title of Alan White Elite Performer.
Preparing for this conference brings the whole Group onto high alert. It has to get rave reviews from our Elite Performers otherwise the overall view can only be regarded as extremely disappointing.
This year, a record number attended from all markets. Outstanding speakers had been arranged as well as case studies from existing Elite Performers - many of whom had been exceeding in particular areas. One of the joys in arranging a conference is the enthusiasm and the joy of participants to contribute to their fellows.
The key speaker was Li Cunxin - the author of Mao’s Last Dancer. A story of courage and strength under severe strain. It was remarkable. There was so much more to come. Warwick White, the Managing Director of Coca Cola in Australia described what would happen if he was in the real estate business! The insights were dramatic. There were many members in the audience that had already changed the way they conduct their careers. Not bad when highly successful people talk about radical change in the way they do things! Key people within the company brought our delegates upto- date with the latest insights and success stories. Mark McLeod, CEO of Growth, drove a thread of the processes and skill sets that an operator needs today. Not just magnificent selling skills but how to be properly organised and how to understand where business comes from.
Brian White contributed to the session through his experience at Harvard University. This year a key presentation at Harvard was “Keeping Google Googley”. The lessons from Harvard were discussed in terms of driving a real estate career. In essence the case study asked the question (as Google constantly does) “are we still doing the things that made us successful in the first place?” On top of that there was some fabulous social events, the highlight being the traditional Elite Performers dinner held in the Great Hall at Sydney University.
About Alan White Elite Performers The Alan White Elite Performer status was created in memory of Alan White, son of Ray White and leader of the second generation growth of the company.
Alan White’s significant contribution was the springboard that led to exceptional growth of the Ray White company and has brought it to the place it is today. His unerring belief and dedication to auctions and marketing are hallmarks of the valued elite members.
