Real Estate Academy (REA) members have spoken and The Complete Membership Program has been tweaked to suit all needs, budgets and team sizes.
This quarter will see REA introduce The Complete Office Pack to complement its existing three-tiered membership program. REA sales manager Cristian Orrego said this meant membership could be taken out by individuals or office leaders for their staff. Payments can be made by the sales people themselves or by the office.
Each membership level includes audio products, books and access to REA events throughout the year
The complete office pack
This new pack allows office leaders to subscribe a specified number of staff members. “It basically allows anyone in an office environment to send any three, five, seven or ten members of their team to all our events,” Mr Orrego explained. An office pack was developed after members asked for more flexibility, he said. “Leaders who were saying I know I’ve nominated persons A, B and C, but I’d also like the flexibility from time to time to send persons D and E. With previous memberships there wasn’t that flexibility – it had to be those nominated members or they had to get a gold membership which allowed them to transfer the tickets to other people,” Mr Orrego added.

Feedback from members has also included positive comments not only on the program’s deliverables, but also on its inclusive nature. “Members are enjoying being part of a group and being able to discuss certain things with each other at the events,” Mr Orrego said.
Now the interstate events have been opened up to the REA membership, many are blocking out time for professional development – and some are even making it a family affair. “We’re finding now that people have the opportunity to travel they can escape from the physical day-to-day of work so they can implement things. We’re finding a lot of people are using these events to coincide with a family trip or using it as an opportunity to get away,” Mr Orrego said.
Tailored Training program
Mr Orrego spends time talking with each member to ensure they are on the correct membership level to match their needs. “I discuss with them where they’ve been, what they’ve done, where they are now and also where they are hoping to go so we can lay the foundations right now to enable them in 6, 12 or 18 months to be in that space or be in a position to grow a lot faster,” he explained.
“In the past a lot of people said I’m Gold, I want to get everything, but for some people that was a bit of overkill. A lot of them may not be ready for some of the deliverables in the categories,” Mr Orrego said, adding an industry newcomer could find information and tasks they could work on for 3-6 months of activity before joining the two-day course. “We would say the Bronze category would be the first port of call for them. We can always upgrade it at any time, but members will indicate through their journey that they are ready to upgrade to the next level,” he added.
