The past five years have been tough for the real estate industry, but top salesman Mat Steinwede has used lessons learnt in that time to create and even better his renowned Real Estate System.

Over five CDs, Mat Steinwede The Real Estate System – New Edition looks back over topics covered in Mr Steinwede’s previous system and then adds more tools developed since. “The original system was created about five or six years ago and since then the market has changed dramatically. When the market declined I had to relearn the marketplace again and the new information added is lessons I’ve learned in a changing market,” he explained.

The biggest lesson was to be consistent. Revisiting the original system, the new version outlines Mr Steinwede’s template to create a firm foundation in every real estate business, something he says most real estate agents don’t have. “They just run each day hoping someone lists their house,” he said.

Even during a declining market Mr Steinwede was able to keep his figures stable. “Most agents had difficulty selling property, but I still had consistent volume because I’d put in such a strong foundation with the original template,” he explained. “It allowed me to pick and choose the properties I wanted to work with when the market changed. If you’ve got the right foundation in your marketplace, you can create it in business.”

The highlights for listeners of the new edition include creating tracks for yourself in your area, structuring a business within a business, maximising each aspect of what you do and each portion of your business, the mindset behind a high performance agent and essential skills sets, Mr Steinwede said, but added his biggest tip for newcomers was to work their area.

“Everyone wants to deal with an expert. You’ve got to have an area formula - if you don’t have that, there is no foundation. Some people use a database to develop an area. I believe if you have a farm area, plus a database in your business you’re literally unstoppable!” With so many hours of content contained in Mat Steinwede The Real Estate System – New Edition, he recommends listening to the entire system CD by CD first and then keeping it in the car to dip into between appointments. “I would probably listen to the whole thing through, one CD per night at first over a period of a week or two, and then after that I would always just have it in the car. Make sure you listen to it often because there are a lot of layers to it,” Mr Steinwede added. Still not content to sit back, the next challenge for Mat Steinwede is mastering social media and seeing how it can be used in real estate sales. “I’m always learning something new and how to do it better,” he laughed.
