Place launches into the technology era with Place University

With Paul Curtain

Brisbane based Place Estate Agents’ revolutionary Place University application is a practical online training and education tool available to all Place employees. It is an innovative strategy which ensures the best on-going education and development program for Place people at all levels within the business.

Managing Director Paul Curtain said this training program is designed to be a 24/7 learning tool in the palm of your hand. “Place University is an accessible training program for hand held devices which offers modules and audio and video content for all members of the business across a variety of levels. We designed this application with the idea that our people would have round the clock access to the very best training tools and development programs needed to continue their on-going training. It covers content for sales, sales admin, marketing, contracts and property management ensuring our people are the most educated professionals within the industry. This allows us to achieve our commitment to clients and deliver the highest quality service available.”

Training initiatives are included for each stage of a staff member’s development, from ‘Freshmen’ through to ‘Seniors’ and also includes ‘post graduate’ classes for those within the business with many years of experience. ‘Masters’ classes are available for those after one-on-one training. Classes are available on the app where Place staff can easily access the coursework and training modules and upon completion of a grade, a Place University student will have access to the next level and training modules.

“We want to encourage all our staff to use Place University as we also have available audio and video recordings from some of the best real estate industry experts and educators including Tom Panos and Lee Woodward, as well as some of our own successful Place agents.” Paul added.

“This online learning space offers so much valuable information and the best part about it is that it’s something you can utilise anywhere. You can listen to the audio in the car on the way to presentations or you can watch the video presentations while waiting for appointments.”

Although Place Estate Agents offers this innovative and modern learning tool, Paul believes it is still important for the overall success of the business and its people to have traditional education and training such as conferences and workshops.

“Place University is great as an accessible learning tool and an online reference, however we still believe that it is important to have touch and feel with our staff and run traditional education sessions and workshops,” Mr Curtain added. “This ensures our training is well-rounded and we aren’t missing anything. It also gives us the opportunity to help out with the online training and answer any questions that may arise from Place University.”
