Over 80 real estate professionals gathered on July 26 to recognise the best performing agents and agencies at the inaugural Openn Negotiation Excellence Awards.
Led by Peter Gibbons, Openn Negotiation Co-founder & Managing Director, it was an opportunity to celebrate not just the finalists and the winners, but all agents who had decided to embrace technology and the need for better transparency when it comes to buying and selling property in Australia.
"We developed Openn to ensure, with the fast-moving world of technology, agents remain central to the real estate sales industry well into the future, and the agents gathered here tonight are world leaders in making this a reality," said Peter.
Guests also heard from Hayden Groves, President of REIWA, as he shared his views on where Openn fits in among the technology challenges facing agents today.
"It [Openn] tries to perfect the process of real estate transactions. They say nothing is perfect, but this is pretty close to perfect I reckon in terms of how it functions; it is transparent and captures the virtues of what a professional REIWA agent aspires to be," he said.
This year marked our stand together, as an industry, to evolve our role as real estate agents and become the pioneers of change, by bringing transparency and expertise back into the buying and selling process.
We are proud of everyone who attended and everyone who has joined to be part of this real estate revolution, taking our place as trusted partners to our local communities.
